Free is the key?

Report in Monday's Guardian that a series of lectures by MIT physicist, Walter Lewin, part of Apple's iTunes U initiative, is lodged in iTune's top ten list of video downloads (alongside the Desperate Housewives and Lost). Unlike the two Stevens' (Hawkins and Pinker) books it may be that people are actually watching the lectures. At least Prof Lewin reports some positive feedback.
