The phenomenom that is Apple

You can't innovate like Apple, says Alain Breillatt. Have just come across this excellent discussion of what has created the Apple phenomenom. In short, shrewd business thinking, deep commitment to their products (i.e. designing for themselves) and focus on a limited range. The article unpicks Steve Jobs' claim that Apple don't research their products. Of course they do: they're constantly scoping, trialling, testing and iterating. It's just by another name. Breillatt and his commentators write with passion.
